My Mate Moss (BFA no 0079A) was an original Flyball dog, part of Wellow Jets, the first uk team to break the 20 sec barrier- 19.77 on 14/02/1993 pre BFA.
Moss joined the Tigers team in 1994 and in singles knockout at a Jets show, became the joint fastest dog in the country along with his litter brother Sonny, with times of 4.2 secs. Moss raced with Tigers for 4 years gaining FDG in that time.
In 1998 Moss took up the challenge of Clever Dog of the year, Andy and Moss battled against Gwain and Tweed and lead the champs to the final at Blake Hall where Tweed beat them by 1 point for the Clever dog title 1998. A superb achievement in Moss’s 8th year.
Also in 1998 Moss joined the Bristol Ballistics along with his daughter Spot, they raced with Barney Asa and our beloved Jack, and together they made a formidable team, culminating with a spectacular win at petersfield the only team in UK then to have won EVERY leg, all tournament. Another first for Moss.
As Moss aged he needed to jump lower than 16” so in March 2002 a place was found in Mad Mutts, along with his old adversary Tweed and Naughty Bobby an 8” JRT, perfect for the old fella.
Moss ended his racing career on 17/8/ 2002 at Meer end as FD Gold. Meagre points by today’s standards, but Andys’ amazing Dog who raced at 81 tournaments until 12 years old. Moss was a dog that could be run by anyone in any position.

Andy’s shadow, in tune with his every move and pace, a joy to own and a stunner to watch.
Moss developed cancer in the winter of 2002 and Andy said goodbye to His BEST Mate Moss.
